At Custom Vinyl Products LLC, we value the time and preparation that goes into choosing a company, scheduling a day for service, and preparing your home for your new window installation. To show you this, it’s our goal to make the installation process as seamless as possible so that you can fast-forward to enjoying your new windows.
Today, we’re sharing the ins and outs so you know what to expect on your installation day.
As you work closely with our team at Custom Vinyl Products LLC, we keep you in the loop about the progress of your contract and order, with most new windows being installed within five to six weeks of signing a contract. Within 48 hours of signing the contract, our General Manager will contact you to schedule a time to measure the window openings in your home. While he's there, an installation schedule will be discussed with you.
Once the measurements are complete, fabrication of your new windows begins, typically lasting around three weeks. Our General Manager works with you to find a time that works with your schedule to put an installation day on the calendar. As you schedule and plan for your installation, keep in mind that we require a homeowner to be home throughout the day. Since our installations take place on weekdays, we give you enough notice so you can make arrangements to be home.
Our team understands the importance of setting clear guidelines and expectations before beginning our work. Information about preparation, estimated length of service, and other pertinent details are discussed prior to installation and included in your signed contract. Protecting your home is a top priority.
Typically, we ask clients to clear a space of approximately three feet on the inside and outside of each window being replaced. Preparation should also include removing furniture that blocks windows as well as blinds, curtains, or other decorations. Typically, a three feet radius around the window is the only part of the home that will be disturbed during installation. We also ask that you secure any pets who may be in the home during installation. Open windows and loose pets do not go hand in hand, as you can imagine!
When the installation day arrives, our crew of professionals typically arrives between 8:00-8:30 a.m. and works until 4:00 p.m. each day (contingent on the season and weather). The size of our crew on your installation day will vary on a case-by-case basis and is typically between two to six people. Homeowners will be introduced to the installation crew leader and throughout the day, our Sales and/or Management team will visit to check in on the job and monitor the progress of the installation. Should you have any questions or concerns before or during the installation, our team is easy to reach via phone or text.
We give you our best time estimate for the job before we start, keeping in mind that it could vary if situations such as structural damage or adverse conditions are found once current windows are removed. Since we cannot be one-hundred-percent sure of what each window opening will be like until we remove the current windows, progress and new time estimates will be communicated should an issue arise.
